about us

HELPING SOMEONE MIGHT NOT CHANGE THE WORLD, BUT IT COULD CHANGE THE WORLD FOR SOMEONE.

Heartened by the constant suffering, owing to regular flooding in the local river Dhanua which led to regular suffering of the most downtrodden and neglected section of the surrounding community, a group of like-minded youths came together to be part of some positive change, united under a single platform called “Jageswari Jubak Sangha” -JJS, in the year 1974. The association took a formal shape and got registered on 7th February 1977. Since then in its journey of more than 50 years the area of internation have spread from one Panchayat to more than 12 districts of the state including its focus area,

In current scenario the problem has been compound due to frequent visit of natural disasters to the costal state in regular interval which in many way affects the lives of poor in general and especially that of the women and children who are the worst suffers during any calamity. In the recent past a series of Flood, Cyclone, and Pandamic visited the state and exposed the limitations of the community resiliency in providing support to the victims in times of need. Similarly there have been reports of Climate-related Livelihood loss, Health & Hygiene awareness, Education and housing needs of deprived communities JJS with active support of its Partons from country and outside of the country is focused in playing its role as a catalyst for positive change.
